I decided to post a quick poll so everyone can see what classes are offered and how many people are planning on racing the series.
I won't be able to race but my kid's will be running the 120's & Jr 10-13
I hope to get alot of feedback from the racers ;D

I uploaded our rules yesterday on the racer resources section of the main website it has a lot of information plus some.answers to just these type of questions.
I also have links on that page to companies supporting the series that are offering discounts on products you will need.
Scoring will be by time, you race against the clock. There are digital scoring systems out there but they drive up the overhead and we want to keep this as inexpensive as possible so for this year there will be two scorekeepers keeping track of times then verifying results.

Definitely read the rule book. Has everything you need to know in it. As far as the sled goes, make sure it has a tether cord, some decent carbides, and some studs, and let er' rip!! For personal safety equipment, an approved chest protector, knee/shin pads, an approved helmet/goggles will be about all you will need. Make sure the helmet back is safety orange in color (tape will work)

Only one date conflicts Feb 11.
That is our last round and year end banquet. I'm a huge believer to combine the last round and banquet to save on expenses of traveling for a while entire weekend just for a banquet.
Did you know that for the Jr 10-13 we will be adding distance to their class as by rules they can only run one class. Instead of the 10-15 miles most series run them we will be 25-30 depending on the course BUT entry fees will remain the same!!
Wanted to do what we can to get our future racers more seat time, spread the word!!

I think it's fantastic that you are running the kids longer! Often it is the juniors/women who get their track time cut when time gets running short. Keep up the good work, and yes the word is being spread to the west!

Just got home from the course layout at Telemark.
Course is going to be awesome!!
Dont't worry about snow as the Telemark crew has plans to spread snow over the entire course and groom it for the skiers during the winter so when we show up March there is going to be a base of around 5'!!
Watch our facebook page for updates and make sure to get on the attending list for the events.
Make sure to get your memberships in as well so you can take advantage of the benefits like a preffered Amsoil account, American Snowmobiler subscription, discount at ArcticFX, and qualify for year end points and championships!!

Is there a way to change the vintage rules.Only two of nine of the vintage sleds that raced in mercer last year would be able to race this year.We had a great time there last year.

That shouldn't be an issue. I definitely want to create something that all you vintage guys can run and since it is a trophy class shouldn't be a problem. How about for Vintage class: Under 600cc (ISR issue) Leaf Spring Front End Working Tether Old!! ;D Will that work??

That would be ok.The series are guys race in is NVSRS ovals and enduros for vintage 85 and older. You can check out are rules at nvsrs.org There is an oval on the date of the mercer race but I'm sure some of them will come up there to race.Anywhere from 4 to 10 vintage sleds might show up.

You are right it is hard to have races on other series off weekends. There are guys that want to race in mercer. The guys that raced in mercer last year half were stock class and half were mod class.
