Long Varchar issue with ODBC

Hello,

I am using an insert statement with a column of type "Long Varchar", even with a value like 'X' (single char), I am getting the following error:

ODBC function "SQLPutData()" reported: SQLSTATE = 22001: Native Error Code = 10,170: Msg = [Vertica][ODBC] (10170) String data right truncation on data from data source: String data is too big for the driver's data buffer.

This error did not occur with the previous version of the Vertica client (running Datastage jobs under Linux, with Vertica client version 7.2.3 - was working OK with version 6.1.3).

Any idea?
